Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage federal government contracts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects in compliance with contract requirements, budgets, and timelines. This role requires close collaboration with government clients, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining strict adherence to federal regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with client requirements.
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Oversee project execution to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Client and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients and stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
Provide regular project updates, status reports, and risk assessments.
Team Leadership:
Manage cross-functional teams, including subcontractors and internal staff.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure accountability.
Foster a collaborative work environment to achieve project goals.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure projects adhere to federal regulations, agency policies, and contract terms.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and compliance checks.
Financial Oversight:
Track project expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Approve invoices, manage cost controls, and prepare financial reports for stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
Analyze project performance and identify opportunities for efficiency.
Implement best practices to optimize workflows and project outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
CSM is a plus
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in federal government contracting.
Proven track record of managing large, complex projects within budget and timelines.
Skills and Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and government contracting processes.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, JIRA or similar).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with agencies such as DoD, DHS, or other federal entities is a plus.
